Programme Overview

Level Up provides support for students (and their whānau if required) making the transition from primary to secondary school. This programme is delivered through facilitated content to year 8 students, support through school visits and orientation days, and follow up for two terms in the year 9 (group and individual).

Core topics include:

  • Speaking up and confidence – managing nerves
  • Finding your people – friendships and belonging
  • Finding your way – school structures and timetables
  • Schoolwork and organisation – workloads, bus schedules
  • Feeling safe and supported – Hauora and where to go for help
  • Ready, set, go – putting it all together, building confidence
